A great mortgage and a new Friend!

We are writing this review on the recently completed refinancing of our mortgage loan through WestStar Mortgage, Inc. WestStar Mortgage Inc. is a truly exceptional company. Our experience working with Matt Brodtman, an employee of WestStar Mortgage Inc., was excellent. When we called WestStar Mortgage Inc. referred to us by Costco, we met Matt Brodtman, a Senior Loan Originator. We told Matt about a bad experience we had just had with Quicken Loans. He assured us that he would make this VA refinance process as painless as possible. He told us that getting a loan or refinance today wasn’t as easy as it was in yesteryears. His professionalism was displayed from the very beginning. While the mortgage refinance process is very overwhelming at first, Matt made it bearable. He did a great job of keeping us posted on the status of our loan application as it progressed through the various stages of approval and funding. What we liked the most about Matt is that he always asked us if we understood everything clearly. He also made sure we were aware of what all of our options were at all times. We enjoyed this personal touch. Matt was always responsive and informative during this process, keeping us informed at all times. He explained why the underwriter asked for different items they needed in processing the loan. Matt never made you feel as though the underwriter was the enemy. In the end we are happy customers with a newly refinanced loan with terms that best fit our situation. And we have a new friend. His name is Matt Brodtman. You will be glad you met him.

After heavily shopping the market (about 10 quotes) for an inexpensive but dependable mortgage, I settled on Matt Brodtman with WestStar Mortgages. I was a little nervous about dealing with someone out of state and VIA the internet, but after closing last week I am quite happy with a complete transaction and minimal costs incurred. I was apprehensive about working with a Mortgage Company that wasn't located in my area. I didn't know how working with someone in a different time zone on the opposite coast would be to my benefit. But after our initial phone conversation with Loan Officer Matthew Brodtman any concerns were unfounded. Matthew was very personable and made himself available for any questions no matter what day of the week. Matthew was available anytime I called many times it was long after normal business hours for him on the East Coast, with me on the West Coast. We had applied for a VA Loan which requires more documentation than conventional loans.Matthew's knowledge and expertise simplified the process and made the transmissions of the many documents an easy task. Prior the signing the closing docs, Matthew reviewed all documents and explained all fees, so I had no questions when the final signing took place. This made that so smooth and fast. Matthew was the consummate professional in all our contacts, yet we felt that we were working with an old friend. I would highly recommend Matthew Brodtman and WestStar Mortgage Inc. to anyone seeking a home/refinancing loan. Being a great Loan Officer isn't Matthew's only talent, he is a great source of Cajun Recipes. Thanks for the wonderful Jambalaya Recipe, Matthew.

From Start to Finish....Excellent!!

From start to finish WestStar Mortgage did a great job. Matthew Brodtman took care of our loan. He handled everything in an exceptional and a very professional manner. He answered all of our questions (and there were many), returned phone calls and responded to e-mails quickly and efficiently. He even answered questions on weekends and when he was home sick! That is something we would have never expected and it was wonderful that he did that for us. He is friendly and very personable. We never worried about what was going to happened next in the loan process. He made the entire loan process go as smoothly as possible. From start to finish, a job very well done! If any of our friends or family want to do a refinance in the future, we will definitely recommend WestStar Mortgage, and we will absolutely recommend that they have Matthew Brodtman handle the loan for them.
