re-finance
Very smooth transaction. From the initial contact with our Rep. Jim Groth, all went just as they said. We had no problems & actually got a lower interest rate than the initial offering. The time it took from the first e-mail to closing was only about a week. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to re-finance or get a new mortgage.

Smooth Sailing

Should have picked Jim Groth
I got a bunch of offers through LendingTree on my home refinance, and Jim Groth with Royal United was one I talked with start to finish. I picked another company because their APR for my fixed 30-year loan was almost 1/2 percentage point lower than all the other offers. One guy from a third lender yelled at me, told me I was stupid, and the low rate was clearly too good to be true. Jim told me, matter-of-factly, that the loan probably wouldn't close and he predicted some of the things that the lender would say and how it would happen. Sure enough, the loan didn't close, and the lender tried to get me to pay a couple extra points for a new loan at a higher interest rate. I called Jim back and never once did he come close to saying "I told you so". We're watching refi rates now, hopefully there's one more dip in rates before they skyrocket, and when that dip comes I'm locking with Jim Groth and Royal United.
